Trade Trends

Global exports of electronic integrated circuits rose from $704.56B in 2019 to $951.56B in 2023, marking a 35.06% increase over the five-year period. The highest value was recorded in 2022 at $1076.67B, followed by a decline in 2023.

This trajectory in USD$ terms reflects the sector’s sensitivity to global demand cycles, supply chain constraints, and inventory corrections. The surge through 2021 and 2022 was driven by heightened demand across consumer electronics, automotive, and industrial applications. The dip in 2023 may indicate normalization in production and consumption patterns, as well as strategic adjustments in sourcing and manufacturing locations.
